Extensions
Natural Look Best Hair
Extensions use only 100% natural
human hair.
Hair is obtained exclusively
from Eastern Europe which is
considered to be amongst the
best as it generally has had
minimal exposure to elements and
chemical treatments, plus it is
not treated with chemicals of
any kind and guaranteed healthy.
While some systems remove the
cuticle during processing
leaving the hair dull and much
less manageable, ours uses the
"REMIS" system to preserve the
hair’s outer layer (cuticle) and
the natural direction (root to
tip) is maintained ensuring hair
extensions are easily combed and
remain tangle free.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q Do hair extensions
hurt?
No! And get out of there
quick if they do! The tension
should be even all over with
none of the points pulling or
hurting. You will certainly know
that something different is on
your head for the first day or
so but it won’t take long before
you don’t even know that they
are there.
Q How do I care for the hair
extensions?
Use a soft bristle brush and
start from the bottom and gently
work your way up. Wash,
condition and moisturise every 2
to 3 days as the extensions will
not receive your natural scalp
oils and so will need moisture
added. Hair extensions can be
coloured or permed however it is
recommend that it be done by a
professional who is acquainted
with hair extensions at all
times.
Q Can hair be worn up?
Absolutely! Hair extensions
should not be applied close to
the hairline and so the
pre-existing hair around this
area will cover up any evidence
of extensions being present.
Q How long will hair
extensions last?
Maintenance is generally
every three months but the hair
extensions will last as long as
you want them to providing they
are not cut or pulled off and
are properly maintained. Extra
locks can be added at any time.
Home after care

Hair extensions are a fast
growing part of the beauty and
hair industry with a wide
variety of different techniques
and systems available. However,
a degree of mystery still exists
in the wider community about
what it means to get hair
extensions and how to properly
care for them.
It is important that hair
extensions be applied by
accredited professionals that
can provide the correct
maintenance advice to clients
ensuring not only a pleasurable
experience but they also get the
most out of their new look.
Treatment
Hair extensions can be
coloured and permed in the same
way as natural hair. However, it
is recommended that it be done
by a professional who is
acquainted with hair extensions
at all times. As hair extensions
will not receive natural scalp
oils, it is important that hair
be washed, conditioned and
moisurised every 2 to 3 days
using products that have been
especially formulated for the
care of hair extensions.
Conditioner should be applied
carefully with either fingertips
or a tail comb from joins to the
ends and left for approximately
5 minutes.

Combing & Styling
To maintain a healthy,
natural look, hair extensions
should be kept tangle free at
all times. Natural look x-ten

protect the hair from thermal

and remove knots.
It is recommended that a brush
developed specifically for hair
extensions be used at all times.
This will allow for smooth
brushing without creating
unnecessary tension on the
extensions or the bonds. Normal
brushes can pull on the
extensions and result in
discomfort and possible
weakening of the bonds.
Styling can continue in the
usual manner using straightening
irons, heated rollers or blow
dryers to create up-styles or
loose flowing hair.
On-going Maintenance
A return visit to your
extension technician after 3
weeks is advisable for a
maintenance check up. To
maintain a long-term full head
appearance, 1 to 2 rows may need
to be renewed in approximately 6
to 8 weeks after the first
application.

Combing you hair and plaiting or
putting in to a loose ponytail
before swimming and going to bed
will help to keep extensions in
a good condition. Hair
extensions will last as long as
you want them to providing they
are correctly maintained and are
not cut or pulled off. Due to
normal hair growth, hair
extensions will need to be
redone generally every 3 months.
However, hair extensions can be
removed and extra locks can be
added at any time without
causing damage to existing hair.
Precautions!
Avoid using products
containing high levels of
silicon prior to - or after -
application of hair extensions
as this may cause them to slip.
Products containing alcohol are
best avoided, as they will break
down the keratin bond
prematurely. Keep straightening
irons and all forms of high heat
away from bonds and it is highly
recommended that a swimming cap
be used when swimming to protect
bonds from seawater and swimming
pool chemicals.
